Arsenic contamination

Gordon Legal is currently investigating arsenic contamination in residential properties and vacant land surrounding both Fraser St and Collard Drive, Diamond Creek.

Diamond Creek has a history of gold mining and arsenic is a naturally occurring substance that is often found near gold deposits.

The Environmental Protection Authority has done some soil sampling and found very high levels of arsenic in one property in particular.

The family at this property has contacted Gordon Legal and we are investigating the potential causes of the contamination on a ‘no-win-no-fee’ basis.

If you are a resident living near this area and have concerns about potential contamination, you are invited to contact us about the investigation.

You can contact us on (03) 9603 3019 or arrange an appointment to speak to us by emailing us at

We are in the early stages of investigating how wide spread this is and how many people may be affected. The outcome of the investigation may result in a class action.

Gordon Legal has experience in landmark class action cases, including fighting on behalf of:

  • Asbestos-related cancer sufferers;
  • Thalidomide sufferers; and
  • Those impacted by contaminated blood supplies leading to HIV/AIDS.

Our founder, Peter Gordon, brought the first successful class actions on behalf of victims of asbestos-related diseases. He has also acted on behalf of victims of sexual abuse at the hands of members of the Christian Brothers, victims of Big Tobacco, and sufferers of medically-acquired HIV.

Our decades of experience and our determination to bring and win hard cases underpins our commitment to providing access to justice for everyone. By grouping small connected claims together, we spread out the cost of litigation, which makes it more affordable for everyday Australians.
